New Service Exposes Malicious Paysites

LOS ANGELES — Recently launched adult affiliate program directory SignBucks Daily has expanded its range of free webmaster services to include reports on paysites and programs known to contain malware.

The reports are compiled by comparing the company's affiliate program database with Google's Safe Browsing reports, which blacklist known phishing and malware websites.

According to SignBucks Daily owner Daizzzy, the company is now monitoring the 9,000 paysites and programs in its database for matches with malware reports and other security warnings from the search giant by using a Google API to automate the process.

The phishing and malware reports are updated every 30 minutes and are based solely on the Google-reported data.

Google is becoming more involved in analyzing and reporting on individual website security issues, i.e. stating that "thisdomain.com is dropping Trojans on visitors," as opposed to issuing a more generic "be careful of websites that drop Trojans" warning. Google also recently issued a warning to individual WordPress users about a security flaw in their systems that left them vulnerable to known exploits.

The new report is only the first in a number of new releases for SignBucks Daily; including the beta launch of a new traffic ranking system for blog directories and link lists this week, with future features forthcoming.

"Soon we'll do the same for other traffic sources," Daizzzy told XBIZ. "We'll divide it for paysites, webcams and dating sites, because they have different traffic sources and it would be easy to analyze how things are going for each of them."

Among the site's interesting features is a listing of expiring or otherwise inactive affiliate program and associated website domain names.

"We are going to begin analyzing statuses for each domain — there's no one standard and each registrar sets its own statuses for 'other than active'," Daizzzy told XBIZ. "We will catch all locked, suspended and parked domains, etc."

The move is intended to alert affiliates of closed websites — something that the program owners sometimes fail to do.

"Many webmasters just send their traffic to nowhere," Daizzzy concluded.
